Today iconic yacht Maltese Falcon crosses the startline of the Transatlantic Race 2011 from New Port RI, racing to the finish line just off the Lizard in the UK. At 289 feet, the custom built Perini Navi is by far the biggest yacht in the fleet and starts in the 'Open class' along with 66'Gunboat Phaedo.
Maltese Falcons' owner Elena Ambrosiadou is well know for her love of sailing and recently commented, 'Both my son and I share a love for the sea and all types of sea sports including sailing, windsurfing, diving and swimming. We are a sailing family and have always been very active in sailing circles'.
